  • Gravitas Ventures Llc
Bad Therapy takes place in Los Angeles and is the story of a married couple, Bob and Susan Howard, who decide to see a marriage counselor named Judy Small. When Bob and Susan first meet Judy Small, she appears competent, intelligent, trustworthy. We have the sense that Judy Small has many patients, other couples she's treated successfully without incident. But Bob and Susan's particular emotional dynamic is a trigger for Judy Small's dark and conflicted impulses. Suggesting she see them separately, she subtly manipulates Susan and Bob, putting them at odds with one another, bringing their marriage to the breaking point.
