Alfree Woodard goes by the name Free, but he's hardly on his own. Obsessively in love with Six Jones, Free considers her his partner in crime, life, and love. Six infiltrates this smooth gangster's gorgeous home and becomes Britain's wifey. Is she really that good of an actress? What about Free, who's left behind with Six's sex-crazed best friend, Sparkle? This is a complicated game of chess, not simple checkers. Love conquers all, or does it? So many questions, but as Free says at one point, "A ho is gon' be a ho when it's all said and done." VERDICT Murky opening scenes may confuse readers, but encourage your patrons to stick with this one and pay attention to the title!
